I’ve been a collector my whole life, but my fascination with UV-reactive glass began in 2017 after stumbling across a photo of vaseline glass glowing under ultraviolet light. The vivid yellow / green color and otherworldly glow stopped me in my tracks, and I knew I had to see it in person. That moment sparked my journey into the world of uranium glass.
Since then, I’ve spent years learning everything I can about the history, production, and artistry behind this luminous material. Along the way, I realized how fragmented and hard-to-find quality information can be, so I created Glass in the Dark to make uranium glass knowledge more accessible, fun, and engaging for collectors everywhere.
Today, I’m proud to serve several roles within the uranium glass community:
Vice President, Vaseline Glass Collectors Inc.
Moderator for r/UraniumGlass and r/VaselineGlass on Reddit, communities that together have more than 84,000 members.
Online Merchant known for thematic packaging and a personal touch that turns each shipment into a boutique experience.
Content Creator on YouTube. Since 2022, I’ve been producing educational and entertainment videos designed to guide new collectors and highlight the beauty and history of uranium glass.
I've always been one to break things apart and figure out how they work. When Paul first started collecting UV-reactive glass, I didn't know anything about the glass itself or the community of collectors. His passion drove me to learn more and figure out how to help other people learn alongside us.
I perform a lot of the 'behind-the-scenes' production including video editing, photography, video production, and content maintenance. I also help drive our project's media strategy and online presence.
